We are seeking an individual to manage our European sales organization and direct our account management activities in Europe.
This position will have considerable freedom to design and manage an organization for this territory. In this regard our company offers an exceptional work environment unlike other companies of our size.
The ideal geographical location of this position is at our facility in central Scotland. However, we would also consider attractive candidates who reside a) in the Chicago area, or b) in one of the other European centers of electronics design or manufacturing.
Compensation for this position is salary plus discretionary bonus. This is not a commission + override position. Our company succeeds by working as a team, in which sales management participates in many facets of making successful projects and relationships. We thus seek an individual for sales management who enjoys a role that demands a variety of interactions and contributions.
Educational Requirements: BA/BS degree or European equivalent.
Experience Required: This individual should be able to show account management or sales management experience in electronic components, or in other markets with transferable experiences.
Travel: The position requires considerable travel for face-to-face interaction with customers, field sales personnel, and Company staff in management, engineering, and manufacturing. Candidates should be comfortable with 2 weeks of overnight travel in Europe per month. If based in Europe, transatlantic visits to USA would be required at least annually, and Asian travel might be required occasionally.
