For your security Docsan is DIGITALLY SIGNED by Sidana Systems, Inc., using a certificate from Verisign. 2. Special instructions for mounting CD-ROMs on Unix Systems: ============================================================== Due to differences in how Unix Systems interpret the ISO standard, these Systems may mount this CD-ROM with all upper-case or all lower-case names. With a few exceptions, this CD-ROM is built to ISO-9660 standards, and links refer to files in lower case only. To make this CD-ROM work correctly, it must be mounted such that all file names appear in lower-case. This is the default for SUN and AIX systems. For HP-UX systems, refer to the instructions below: 2a. For HP-UX systems before version 10.10: =========================================== HP-UX systems before version 10.10 must use the "pfs" package to mount the CD-ROM to get lower case names. If it is not already on your system, it is available from your HP System Tape or can be downloaded from: ftp.hp.com/pub/demos/grfxdemos/pfs/pfs.tar.Z Step 1: Install PFS - Obtain the pfs.tar.Z file as indicated above and copy to a temporary directory (say /tmp/pfs). # su root # cd /tmp # mkdir pfs # cd pfs file here - Unpack the file # uncompress < pfs.tar.Z | tar xvf - - Install PFS # ./install_hppfs Step 2: Start PFS # cd /usr/contrib/bin # ./start_hppfs Step 3: Mount your CD-ROM: (This assumes the CD-ROM drive is at SCSI address 2 and a mount point of /cdrom) # cd /usr/contrib/bin # ./pfs_mount -x unix /dev/dsk/c201d2s0 /cdrom Step 4: Verify that you have it mounted correctly: # ls -F /cdrom Should list the files: data/ index.htm readme.txt 2b. For HP-UX systems after version 10.10: ========================================== The mount(1m) command in HP-UX 10.10 and greater has a built-in option (-o cdcase) to mount ISO CD-ROMs with all lower-case names. Use this option to mount this CD. Refer to the HP-UX system documentation for instructions on how to use the mount command. 3.
