Any info would be most welcome either by post to the group or E-mail. Umm .. if your Siemens ECU is the MS41.1... I'd open it.. you're gonna be surprized since there is no EPROM in there .. only a soldered in Flash EEPROM .. at least in the US markets, OBD-II legislation prohibits the removeable proms .. The same is supposed to apply to the intake runners -- each runner being equivalent to the volume in a single cylinder. Anything grossly different from this will affect (probably negatively) the torque characteristics (how much & at what rpm level). It's your car, but I wouldn't screw with this. My car is very similar to yours and I can answer questions and such you may have, also related to thermal reactors, exhaust systems and such. Aside for some bullet-proofing, leave the injection as it is, it works fine when set up properly (i.e. CO set with a meter to the proper levels). What are you trying to do and/or fix? Although a G-meter is not strictly diy efi material, I know that many in the group may have an interest or information regarding my inquiry. TO the point, I wish to either purchase or design an instrument for measuring the G-forces generated during cornering of a vehicle. If anyone knows of a unit made for this purpose, please reply and let me know. If I have to make one, maybe the adxl05 from Analog Devices would be the most suitable place to start, however I have not yet managed to get a hold of a databook/spec sheet. What does anybody else think? I removed the flash eeprom which was a 29C512 and with an adapter socket, successfully converted the code over to a 27C512 EPROM.(Not that this was really important as I could just as easily reprogrammed this flash or any other 29C512 flash for that matter) My main problem is the data area's which I am familiar with (Bosch Mortonic) have now obviously changed. I was curious to know if anyone else out there has managed to get any usefull info on this unit, which would allow modification to the usual settings. Describe the processor .. it may be a Siemens 80C166 If you can, just EMAIL me the binary, and I'll try and tell you what it is .. I'm working on the Siemens MS41.1 now ..
