Or here in the US for that matter? I know it's a trade rag, so it seems the majority of us are SOL unless some kind sole is willing to post the article of interest on the net somewhere. While we're on the subject (and now that the electronic fuel/ignition nut is more-or-less cracked), is anyone else of the opinion that this is what's *really* needed for our dream motor? I suppose a diy_valve_train mail list would be even quieter than this one though. bob ------------------------------ From: Greg Parmer Date: Mon, 18 Nov 1996 10:24:16 -0600 (CST) Subject: Re: MACHINE DESIGN magazine? The article wasn't online when I checked, but you can find out more at..... http://www.penton.com/md For those not lucky enough to have easy access, the article is about 5 paragraphs long and therefore not super technical in nature. In a sentence, the valve is operated by an electric over hydraulic system (electric solenoids control high/low pressure fluids which drive a piston to which the valve is attached). Hence the name Electrohydraulic Camless Valvetrain (ECV). And to reiterate, it's on page 48 of the Nov 7, 1996 issue. Hope this helps to satify the hungry minds! - -greg Greg Parmer ------------------------------ End of DIY_EFI Digest V1 #350 ***************************** To subscribe to DIY_EFI-Digest, send the command: subscribe diy_efi-digest in the body of a message to "Majordomo@xxx.
