At Peters suggestion - hunted down some 87 chevy pu tanks. The wrecking yard had a pu with both tanks. Purchased both tanks on the spot, they were the only ones in local area. Installed tpi pumps on to sending units. Decided to use existing crossover valve. if that one fails , will follow John's suggestion and use 96 pu crossover valve. The tank front mount needs to modified to fit old frame holes. The filler and vent inlet are also larger in diameter. Used steel line most of the way, tried to use as little hose as possible. Have run about a couple of weeks - during recent heat wave no problems yet. Recommend the person looking for the 5/16 Saginaw end - look in wrecking yard most GM vehicle use these ends. The Buicks and Cads have really long lines and can be shorten easily. also if you are concerned about EGR error code - just disable in rom.
