For those of us who are bound by rules ( like single valve springs on an engine that turns 7000 rpm ) it doesn't sound too silly. I just need to find someone who can provide me with a digital ECU for my D-Jetronic system. ( SCCA ITB Volvo ). The rules don't allow any modifications to the internals of the fuel injection Control Unit but who knows what is in the control unit.... Cheating, well.....The BMW's change their cam timing...the dogs. - ----- Original Message ----- From: William T Wilson To: Sent: Friday, June 04, 1999 9:28 PM Subject: Computerized Heel and Toe > Okay, here's what I'm thinking. Highest I've seen in my limited exposure was 8500 for a brief spell in a semi-hot (although using factory parts) SBC 350, in a '51 Studebaker pickup. What is attainable with factory (i.e., pink or similar) rods, crank, etc and typical aftermarket top end goodies? My old Corolla has perfectly spaced pedals for it, too - although my '72 MGB did not - and after replacing the 4.10:1 rear end with a 3.42:1, I can even do a decent 2-to-1 heel-and-toe double-clutch downshift these days. Can a computer do it? Probably...but not if I can disable it!
