Nope... They squirt the alcohol in through the "Bug Catcher" scoop from a squirt bottle (By hand) then crank while still squirting... They do restrict fuel flow during burnouts and when they back up and begin to stage, the crew chief turns a valve to open the restriction... they limit HP during the burnout this way... they also use about 8 gallons to make 1 1/4 mile run! =========================================================== David Cooley N5XMT Internet: N5XMT@xxx.net Packet: N5XMT@xxx. Subject: Re: Buick V-6, was Prowler V6 I hear ya, Sounds correctamundo! I ran a 383 in my Bee from 1988(bought the car with the engine semi assembled in a crate) til about 1992, when I swapped it out in the same day for the 440 that Some friends n I built from a 1971-2 Newport that had a 1969 cast 440 block from Pic-ur-part for $135 right here in Houston... Ran the 440 with a stock cast iron intake at first, then picked up a performer 440 (Dual plane aluminum) intake, then a friend swapped me his Holley street dominator for the performer and that's what I'm runnin now! ALSO have an Offenhauser Single quad tunnel ram sittin right here next to me at the computer here, VERY clean and beautiful.... Just tryin to find a long nuff throttle cable to reach the dern carb once I put the thing on the engine! Any ideas? This 440 may be the one I put the turbo's and F.I. on, soon! LATER! Todd....!! What about about completely moving away from the standard fuel rail type injectors and use the ones that take a straight hose fitting on the end. You could tee 2 fuel rails to the top with just a Y-piece. Place a solenoid between each rail and injector (yes lots of solenoids, how small can you get these things ?), however this would allow for two independent systems which could run constantly and the purge time would only be a few injector cycles, just switch on the desired set of solenoids (standard or go fast). You even set up your go fast fuel rail with more pressure since injector is the same.
