I think the units were originally rated for HP, and they changed the ratings 'cause so many folks asked "How's that rate to a carb??" Just a guess, take it for what it's worth. > I hope nobody knows anything BAD about > using copper tubing in a fuel system... :? You're joking, yes? Copper lines + vibrating vehicle= fatigue failures, and chafing failures. Bad thing to do. > This throttle body will flow a LOT of air! GM uses something similar on their light truck engines now. However, I doubt the idea of "an A/C bias" was anything more than just a hip shot; at least it doesn't make any sense to me. B) There is even a BURST of sparks issued during startup on the Saabs to "clean" the plugs up! And if you've ever SEEN one of these systems, the plug ends DO get vewy vewy dewty from the static electricity involved. Gar P.S. Steve, did you move people to digest mode during ole majordumbo's latest breakdown? cuz I'm suddenly in digest mode. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 23 Jun 1999 23:33:55 +0800 From: Goi Sihao Subject: : A/F ratio and fuel volume i think its the MASS and not the volume of air that matters. so many moles of oxygen and so many moles of gasoline. think abt it. at 4000rpm, we sucking in 2000*engine capacity of air/14.7 cc's of gas per minute. how long do u suppose it'll last? i know my integra did that for 3h straight and took abt 6.5 gallons of gas ... sihao ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 23 Jun 1999 09:28:48 -0700 From: Jason_Leone@xxx.com Subject: Re: Mad Max <> Ha ha ha. I just watched that movie last night on the Sci Fi channel, here in the States. Yeah, I always crack up when he does that whole blower engagement act. Pretty funny stuff, but its perfect for the movie. I saw the movie in the theater back in about '80 or '81, and it seemed pretty cool back then. Some 19 years later, the dubbed soundtrack...bad acting, and old technology was very apparent. I still stayed up until 12:30 in the morning to watch it last night though...one of those cult films that held my attention well. BTW, thanks for sharing what the car was. I can tell you that 99% of us over here in the US had no idea what the hell make and model it was. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 23 Jun 1999 11:16:45 -0700 From: "Bob Huish" Subject: Re: Holley Projection 4di help 7F00,0000,0000>provided me with a program called HONDO - which grabs all the realtime data and >lets you review it offline to your heart's content. 7F00,0000,0000> >I bet nobody would care if I sent you a copy, eh? > >I'd be amused if us projection users got to know each other to swap >tuning tips, etc... Set it and forget it....well sort of, I use a summer setting and winter setting for choke and main mixture. Q: Is the "Hondo" program digital only? Note: the analog 'Puter does not have an output port. Bob Huish - Angels Camp, Calif.
