Also this is a good priced chip using "Intel" style code. It's also available as a DIL, so no SM problems. My question is how do I make a SIMPLE variable voltage source for this. I have very LITTLE understanding of electronics so to any folks kind enough to reply BEWARE it will need to be basic I posted a similar question to a newsgroup and received an answer that I really do not understand but would be able to send to anybody willing to help out. Guys: I am a serious novice when it comes to the PROM reader/burner market, so some help/advice would be appreciated. I am in the market for a burner, so I was perusing the Allied catalog and there are quite a few options...from $205 to $1500. Since I have no clue what the best option for automotive use would be (including flash memory chips in late model cars...), any advice? I like this thing called the Chipmaster 6000, since it seems to do everything....but can I read, modify tables, and rewrite new PROM's with this pooch? Thanks!!!! Need a new parts supplier for things like extruded fuel rails, adjustable regulators, etc. I've been using Force-EFI, but the delivery times are horrible. Kinsler is just to high. Right now I need a good adjustable regulator to replace the stock Bosch one on a 280zx. I don't need something as serious as a SX (or as expensive). A simple in and out with barb fittings will do.
