But check out late 70's early 80's Kawasaki KZ750/1100 motorcycles. They came with the option of fuel injection. The system never worked right, and when something went wrong with the electronics, with a replacement cost of one arm, one leg and your first born, the FI was pulled off and replaced with a set of carbs. The KZ1100 was an inline 4 motor with 4 individual injector/butterfly bodies. It may be a starting point for ideas.
