Being that I'd rather not spend $60 for 8 bungs, or $150 for MSD's drill bit, I'd like to do this myself. What ID does the bung need to seal against the injector O-ring? Is the step square, chamfered, or radiused? Looking through the archives, I saw that James Weiler modified a drill 27/32 drill bit for this. Does anyone have the dimensions or details? Thanks for all the help. If anyone cares, (I was on the DIY_EFI list a while ago), I've graduated with my BSME, Skulte Performance Designs is busy, I work in the nuke field now, and have the twin turbo Camaro design project running strong :) Andris Skulte Z28tt-89 IROC T56 DFI Twin Turbo http://www.skulte.com/turbo.html ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Nov 1999 21:26:24 -0500 From: "Clare Snyder" Subject: Re: idle hiss It is not out of the ordinary to hear a hiss on an injected engine - the air going through the IAC can be quite noisy on some cars. My 3.0 litre chrysler (mitsu) always hisses at idle, and has no leaks. this has been confirmed on a gas analyzer and with propane leak test. - ----- Original Message ----- From: DIY_EFI Digest To: Sent: Saturday, November 13, 1999 3:00 PM Subject: DIY_EFI Digest V4 #641 > ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Nov 1999 21:59:31 -0500 From: "Bruce Plecan" Subject: Re: Injector Boss Dimensions You just want the manifold side?. Tell me exactly which dimensions ya need, ie there are two bore diameters for the manifold end seperated by a chamfer, the upper having a total depth of x, you don't need rail info.., just I have to drag out a GN manifold from under the bed to measure it, just ant it right....
