I'll see f I can find a copy. I've had these twin turbo manifolds in my basement for so long that it's killing me! I have the paper design of the system complete. The only thing left to do is come up with the financing :) Oh, while we're on the topic... I still have a COMPLETE single turbo system for a small block Chevy that I want to sell (To finance the Twin Turbo project). Anybody interested? I'm asking $1100. I have a commitment from http:\\Sunsite.auc.dk to host the services for efi332. SunSite provides the following services: WWW Space FTP Space Mirroring IRC CVS Repository Mailing Lists Mail Filtering Backup Maintenance Personnel Reliable Hardware Fast Network Connection - T3 i think ! Why SunSite and not our own server? 1. No personal relations, which could stop us one more time. 2. Reliable service - backup/maintenance. 3. Nearly free capacity (Disk and traffic) 4. Nice "kick-start" with the search engine, new archive for mail etc. 5. Free!! It's allways possible to move to our own server by paying some money to some sort of ISP. I can handle the setup and transfer with SunSite if you like. I'll start with the website and after that i'll setup the mailling list. Administration could be split on different persons. Any volunteers ? Pleas be in mind that i have not asked for hosting for DIY and GMEMC!, at least not yet! I've been trying to troubleshoot my idle problem and I was really getting close to a solution thanks to all of the input I've received from the list. HOWEVER, during troubleshooting, I forgot to reconnect one of the injector leads (as well as the temp sensor lead) and I started the engine (with some obvious difficulty) several times (I know, I'm a ham-fisted bonehead). Obviously it had some severe missing, then rushed way up the rpm scale, then backfired and quit (again, several times). I finally found the leads and reconnected them. However, restarting the engine produced similar results, and it sounded really strange. It will start with difficulty, but won't run at all. Was this a fatal error? What can I do or look for to figure this out? I'm pretty close to giving up at this point and having the car towed to the repair shop, where I'm sure I'll receive an unrelenting and severe financial spanking (which I may well deserve). Obviously, any input will help! Also, can anyone recommend a good shrink? I think I may have some inadequacy and guilt issues to deal with in the near future. Backfires "can" kill all kinds of sensors, ie MAP/MAF/Air Flow metering.... IF it even acts like it wants to backfire, try to figure out the problem, or prime the engine so that it doesn't backfire... Backfires/Heavy Missing=BAD Maybe disconnecting the battery will clear any short term corrections and allow you to restart.. Grumpy | OK, the saga continues. Nobody has yet suggested we turn the DIY-EFI list into a Usenet Newsgroup. This may be a stupid idea, but I won't know until somebody explains *why* it's a stupid idea. Pro: 1) Distribution is decentralized, automatic, and free to posters and readers. 2) Most newsreader programs make it easy to avoid reading stuff that doesn't interest you. Similar to the non-digest form of this list. 3) Network News Spam seems to be relatively well-controlled nowadays (at least on the groups I follow); spam that gets through is easily ignored. Con: 1) Many folks on this list may not be familiar with Usenet News, and/or unable to receive News. 2) Distribution is not instantaneous; postings may take an extra day or two to reach far-flung recipients. 3) I don't personally know how to get a new newsgroup constituted. Surely someone reading this does; perhaps that intelligent person can explain to me, and the list, Gently, why this is a stupid idea :-) . Asides: 1) Still need a low-bandwith server somewhere to archive digests and serve ftp requests. Interested readers unfamilar with Usenet News are advised to try reading "rec.autos.tech" to see what News is like. I believe both Netscape Communicator and Internet Explorer have a facility for reading News. Reading Network News is very similar to reading the non-digest form of this list, except that you must use a "Newsreader" client, instead of an "Email" client. Here are approximate directions to subscribe-to and read "rec.autos.tech" using Netscape Communicator (v4.7 under Solaris, anyway). Sorry, I'm not familiar with Internet Explorer, but I'm sure it's similar. a) Pull down "Communicator: Newsgroups". b) In the new Newsgroups window that pops up, pull down "File: Subscribe". c) In the newest window, locate the "rec.*" line, and open it. d) Scroll down to "rec.autos.tech" and highlight it. e) Click "Subscribe". f) Click "OK". The topmost window will go away. g) Doubleclick the newgroup you chose in step d). A new window should pop up, and if everything worked, you should be able to "read News." stuart hastings ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Nov 1999 10:49:33 -0800 (PST) From: Carter Shore Subject: Re: DIY_EFI Digest V4 #644 I'm in Portland OR this week, rented an ISUZU Amigo. Looked under the hood, 3.2 L V-6 (Honda?). Coil-on-plug modules sitting on each cam cover. The connectors had 3 wires. Maybe integrated drivers too? Anyone know some more details? New, I'm sure they cost an arm and a leg and a nut (sorry ladies). But if these have been used in Prod for a while, might make for good DIY building blocks (cheap in the boneyard). Two bolts, one quick connector, not sure how they attach to the sparkle plug. (midnite auto parts?). ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
