Thanks for joining the Fox Tango International FT-200 forum on Yahoo Groups! Your membership has been approved because you have met one or more criteria for membership: An interest in Yaesu Amateur equipment, Amateur Radio or shortwave listening hobby, electronics, repair of radio equipment, or other technical issues. Please feel free to make your first post today. Introduce yourself, tell us of your hobby or interests in Yaesu Amateur equipment, or ask your first question of the group. Remember, the "only dumb questions are those that aren't asked". Please review some guidelines for group participation: DOs and DON'Ts: On-topic referrals to commercial companies for equipment, parts or technical assistance are acceptable. Announcements of on air contests or nets outside of those directly connected with Fox Tango International are not. Weather nets, Skywarn topics and such are not topics for this forum, there are many other venues for these items. This is not a "for sale" group. Our focus is on the technical issues concerning all Yaesu Amateur radio equipment repairs and operations. Please use our classified section to list items for sale see http://www.foxtango.org or one of the other ham classified resources for buying and selling gear. Allow me to clarify you can post 1 item of Yaesu equipment now and again! We just want to avoid it becoming a swap forum. Again, we have a classifieds page you can use for free listings. See the Fox Tango Classifieds on the club web page if you have a lot of items to sell. Listing one rig or item for sale is fine every now and again is not prohibited, we just don't want to make it the primary focus on the forums. Radio modifications to improve performance or to fix a particular problem are OK. POSTS REGARDING 11 METER OR VHF/UHF OUT-OF-BAND TRANSMIT MODS ARE NOT ALLOWED and may result in moderation or removal from the group. There are other Yahoo groups and newsgroups dealing with radio mods. Remember, our focus is on technical issues and repairs. If you are a Citizens Band operator you WILL NOT be turned away from Fox Tango however we try to encourage everyone to obtain proper FCC licensing for their on air activities. We have many members from countries around the world, with differing cultures, backrounds and experience levels. Please be sensitive to them, as you would be on the air. Not all of our members are proficient in English, please be patient. We will if necessary request you to LIMIT signature lines at the end of your messages to your call sign, or your amateur related web site. If you have commerical advertising on your signature line we ask you to remove it. If you have a religious signatures line you might be asked to limited it to something VERY BRIEF. If you can not comply it makes it difficult for all of us as moderators and group owners. Again remember we have people from all walks of life from differing cultures on board. We are not trying to discourage freedom of speech, keeping in mind however that Fox Tango is an amateur related activity. No religious or political discussion will be tolerated as this has brought us nothing but grief in the past! Thank You. As with most groups, flame wars, insults and attacks will not be tolerated. Extended non-technical discussions may also cause a problem. Please remember our focus. "Off topic" and humorous posts will be tolerated as long as they are germaine to an existing thread and do not violate the aforementioned guidelines. If you have doubts about a particular post you would like to make, please feel free to contact one of the moderators for guidelines or advice. Any posts that refer to male or female reproductive or excretory organs, parts or actions of the body, or that refer to anyone (groups or individuals) in a derisive or bigoted way, as defined by the moderators, will result in immediate expulsion from the group. Grey areas may result in the poster being put on temporary or even permanent moderation. There will be no debate, no questions asked or answered in regards to this policy. If you feel strongly about a particular issue and wish to post, it's best to "save as draft" and review it later before sending. It may help you save face later! Finally We have one other alternative for posting and that is the Fox Tango OPEN PUBLIC FORUM. See the club Web page http://www.foxtango.org for the public forum. YOU CAN POST ABOUT ANY ~ REPEAT ANY ~ amateur related topic on the club open public fourm with little moderation oustside of common decency to others again NO personal attacks and spam on that fourm. So please consider posting any off topic amateur related off topic items there. Vy 73 and thanks for joining Fox Tango International Carol L. Maher W4CLM Group Co-Owner, Administrator Fox Tango Intl.
