Feb. 2011 Hello there, We are asking you to place known good Midland Syntech 2 read-back data files in this folder, hopefully along with a text description of the model number, dash or trunk mount, type of control head, number of buttons and the best situation include the labels and locations of those buttons. You could also add an optional text description file if you're so motivated. It should be really simple to open one of the posted archived text files and edit the details (of your saved file) using Windows Notepad as your basic text editor. Save the edited or created file with the same name as your saved "st2" file and be sure to add the .txt on the file name when you save it. Note: Using the DOS version of the Syntech 2 programming software restricts you to file names with max 8 chararcter lenghts. The Windows software allows for longer file names. Example below: A Midland 70-3400B (VHF High-Band 45 watt Dash MOunt Radio) saved file: 3400B16B.st2 file indicates the 70-3400B radio with the 16 Button Control Head. Notice the option to add a description of your donated file when you upload it. And the optional text file 3400B16B.txt Is the text file you also (hopefully) edited and saved to indicate the radio is a 70-3400B 45watt Dash or Trunk MOunt radio with a Standard 16-Button LCD Display Control Head. Thank you for any and all contributions to these archives. What ever you care to donate is going to be very helpful. End
