Hex codes to change in Midland LMR 70-1080 and software for the STII series: 189C 1st digits of upper band limit (x10Mhz..so if it shows 47, that = 470Mhz on UHF or 05 =50Mhz on lowband) 189D last digit of upper band limit (x 0.1 Mhz + 189D digits; IE: 40 = 4.0MHz + 189D MHz) 189E is 1st digits of lower band limit (x 10Mhz) 189F is last digits of lower band limit (x0.1 Mhz+189E) To change a STII to allow 6mtr operation, change 189D to a 40 and you can now enter 6m freqs up to 54.0 MHz! The above is true for all bands...low, highband and UHF....you MUST change it every time to read or view or program out of band freqs on the 1080...it defaults back to normal settings on power cycle. Enjoy and see you on 6 FM! Chris WB5ITT P.S.- this file is public domain. It cannot be copyrighted by anyone for any reason.
