This is a plea and a warning that if you do not consider the welfare of the public you will not get the support of the public. If you do not consider the safety, security and well being of citizens you will not get the support of citizens.
Word letters so the public can understand what you are trying to do for them and why. If you are not sincere in your concern do not expect the public to believe you.
When writing to the media for publication keep this uppermost. Ignore it and you will fail to get the attention of the public. That does not mean don't bother because every little bit helps.
Capitalise on current events as these are uppermost in the publics mind.
How can any of us justify a self-interest and ignore the plight of the man in the street having to face the ravages of crime daily with a government that cares little for his safety or welfare.
Use logic and reason when writing to businesses or executives.... but you have to give them a reason to follow your logic. That reason must be in the public interest and of benefit to the business. You must try to maintain the moral high ground such that the recipient feels that they must follow the advice or plan given because the public will benefit.
