Once you complete the simple installation of your IDE hard drive into our enclosure, you will be able to transfer data to and from the hard drive at speeds up to 800 Mb/s! You can also  access the data from any computer instantly because it is now a "plug and play" device. 

Additionally, USB 2.0 and FireWire 800 are both backward compatible, so if you attach your hard drive to a system with only USB 1.1 or legacy FireWire 400/ 1394a ports, the hard drive will still be able to function at the fastest possible speed available.
