Extend
the distance from your computer to FireWire 1394 peripherals
in 15 foot increments using multiple repeaters
The
IEEE-1394 specification limits your range for FireWire devices to 15
feet. At that distance, users must amplify the signals for every
additional 15 feet.
Each
repeater will draw three watts or less from the host FireWire system.
The repeater comes with a 6 pin, 15 foot cable and presents a 6 pin
connector to the receiving cable of the FireWire peripheral.
One available FireWire port on an OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller that supplies power.
