How to install XGS-XFREEOS/2

*** IMPORTANT ***
Follow these steps carefully, or XGS-XFREEOS/2 is likely to not execute !

First of all, you must have XFREEOS/2 3.3.1 installed and working properly. You can consult the XFREEOS/2 home page by clicking here. But please DON'T ask me how to install it, read the official documentation !!! The mine works greatly without problems.

Choose a home directory for the executable and support files (why not the same directory as XGS-Win 32 and XGS-DOS ?).

Next, either add this line to your CONFIG.SYS, or make an XGS2.CMD file that will set the following environment variable:

where x: is the drive that the home directory is on, and xgs_home_directory is the path.

Next, use Info-Zip or RAR into the home directory to extract the files into their correct directories. The directory structure in your home directory should be as follows:
\xgs_home_directory\
XGS2.EXE
GCC290.DLL

The functionality are exactly like the Linux version. The only exception is the F1 key has the same functionality as the Esc key. Keep it in mind when you would like to hit Ctrl-Esc ;-)
