A working copy of METAL 1.09.02 can be located at..

tfsp.saic.com  /pub/metal/language/met.qwikstart


That archive will unpack to and run from an 800K disk, or you can move it to a
hard drive. This archve contains only the -LANGUAGE- and a Simple Shell
program called MSH.

It's designed to let you get METAL installed and working in a matter of
minutes. :)
