AD55-EVM AIC evaluation board

Provides direct interface to the 'C5x DSK

DSP system designers can now save valuable time in evaluating the performance of the TLC320AD55 analog interface circuit (AIC) by interfacing the new AD55-EVM evaluation board directly to the 'C5x DSP starter kit (DSK). The AD55-EVM includes all the necessary circuitry to demonstrate the performance and features of the TLC320AD55.

The TLC320AD55 AIC features include 16-bit resolution sigma-delta A/D and D/A convertors, serial input and output ports for direct interface to DSPs, programmable analog output gain (0 dB, -6 dB, -12 dB, and squelch), and main and auxiliary analog input channels. The A/D and D/A convertors offer signal to noise + distortion ratios in excess of 80 dB and 72 dB respectively. Applications of the TLC320AD55 include V.34 modems, noise cancellation, voice channels for video telephony, and audio test equipment.

Although designed specifically to interface to the DSK, the AD55-EVM evaluation board can be easily interfaced to a wide range of DSPs.
