| Overview: | This H.324 Development Release is single-chip TMS320C80 (C80) implementation of the ITU standard H.324 for videoconferencing over analog phone lines. Shipped on two PKZIPed 1.44MB disks, the release includes the following sources: Full duplex H.263 video compression/decompression; G.723 audio with acoustic echo cancellation; H.245 call setup/control; H.223 multiplex/de-multiplex of video, audio and data. The library can run H.263 and G.723 concurrently from 28.8kbps up to 68kbps. The current version of H.263 is the baseline version of H.263, at 21kbps. It transmits data through H.223 and receives data from H.223 at a rate of 79bytes/30ms. This simulates fairly accurately a transmission through telephone lines. Any H.263 options have not yet been implemented. Finally, no pre-/post-filtering is performed. Note that this version will not implement the V.34 modem functionality - neither inside nor outside of the C80. |
