Overview: The ASR-DSP board provides a customizable I/O interface with a scaleable, high performance processing engine. Using FPGA technology to maximize performance in logic or comparison functions, the ASR-DSP is able to execute faster than a conventional DSP board. The FPGAs are available in varying configurations, and multiple units can be connected for pipeline and parallel applications. ASR modules can be stacked for greater performance applications. In addition to high speed data paths, the ASR-DSP board has built in and reconfigurable Spy Logic and Diagnostic and Configuration control. The Spy Logic provides visibility into the internals of the ASR, outputting internal debug data on the Spy Logic port. The Diagnostic and Configuration function block loads FPGA macros and interfaces with an external controller for downloading coefficients and real-time board control information. DSP, arithmetic, logic, board configuration, and custom macros are available.
Ideal Performance: Up to 7Mbytes/s net transfer rate between host and C4x, depends on SCSI host adapter and PC or Workstation.
