| Overview: | IAT offers a single-chip TMS320C80 implementation of MPEG-1 decoder with full functionality according to the standard ISO-11172 part 1 to part 3 with the automatic recognition and decoding of audio-video streams in an error-free environment. Additionally to the MPEG-1 constrained parameter set for video a limitation of horizontal picture size to a max. of 352 pels and a vertical picture size to 288 pels is the lower, guaranteed limit of decodable streams. Video output is YUV-format, CIF (352x288 pels)-sized frames. Supported are audio decoder layers I and II in all modes at all bit rates. Neither the deemphasis filters nor the CRC-computation is implemented. Audio output is 16 Bit big-endian samples, left and right channel in alternating order. A perfect audio-video synchronisation is achieved. The host interface is a message based. A simple host application under Windows 95 is included. |
