Overview: The MPEG audio algorithm provides high-quality audio coding for mono and stereo signals. The compression ration is adjustable over a wide range, delivering sound quality ranging from high fidelity CD-level down to approximately "toll" quality telephone quality. To permit innovative encoding solutions, the MPEG standards strictly specify how the decoder should operate, while the encoder is more loosely specified. ASPI Digital uses floating point precision for maximum audio fidelity. The result is a high quality MPEG encoding solution.
