Overview:	Implements the data pump function of the ITU modem standards V27ter, V27bis, and V27. They provide half-duplex transmission over the telephone network at rates of 4.8 and 2.4kb/s for application with Group 3 fax. They also provide full-duplex data transmission over 4-wire leased lines. An optional independently-controlled backward channel can be incorporated for rates of up to 75b/s. The software is in the form of two callable subroutines, one for initialization and one for per-symbol processing of data and sample blocks. Both 9.6 and 8.0kHz sample rates are supported.
Ideal Performance:	SNR for 10-6 error rate: At 2.4kbs: 12dB - flat channel; 16dB - Bell 3002 channl At 1.2kbps: 9dB - flat channel; 12dB - Bell 3002 channel.
