Overview:	Parallel C includes: Texas Instruments C compiler package, offering excellent performance plus compatibility with third-party tools and libraries; a powerful communications framework that makes using TMS320C4x comports really simple, saving time in multi-processor projects; a microkernel that provides a robust, lightweight foundation for your code, offering many features of a traditional RTOS with little of the overhead. The microkernel (only 1KW of hand-written code) maps the high-level properties of Parallel C (tasks, pre-emptive threads, priorities, semaphores, message passing, timers) onto TMS320C4x features. Send messages over TMS320C4x comports with a single function call. By automatically handling DMA, Parallel C makes it easy to write efficient programs that overlap communication with computation. Threads may handle interrupts by waiting on high level-semaphores. Alternatively, a library of over 50 low-level functions gives direct access to the hardware.
