Overview: The HETWIN is a TIM-40 module, and has two TMS320C44 processors, each having 512 Kbyte SRAM on its local bus. The module is well suited for computing-power hungry applications that need only little memory to run. The 0.5M byte of SRAM for each processor is sufficient for many DSP applications. The module is a size 1 TIM-40 module. The JTAG port is used for debugging. In any system, with any number of processors, the JTAG allows debugging access to each individual processor in the system. There are several debugging tools available to take advantage of the JTAG's features. The HETWIN derives the processor clock from the motherboard. The TMS320C40 is a 275 MOPS and 50 MFLOPS rated DSP processor from Texas Instruments. It has the unique feature of 4 comports, each of which can transfer data at 20M byte/sec.
