Overview: Easy-to-use file system for C4x standalone systems. Provides a set of C functions for the hema HPSI1 SCSI to ComPort interface. The hema hfs offers a tiny file subsystem to a DSP or DSP network. The DSP sends file system commands through ComPort which is served by the HPSI1 subsystem. The following basic commands are available: format, create file, read file, write file, file append, seek, delete file, rename file. In addition there are special functions for head lock/unlock and free diskspace information. For performance reasons a UNIX style file system architecture has been chosen. The directory and file allocation table are cached to reduce file system overhead. A separate cache speeds up small write jobs into a open file. Those features limit the available directory size to about 200 file entries. Printed manual included. Examples and Test programs in C on disk included.
