Overview: ITU-T audio Coder. G.723.1 is a CELP coder with two different bit rates (6.3 and 5.3 kbit/s). It has a good quality for speech and a lower one for music. It is designed to compress speech signal in videophone applications on PSTN. For an optimized solution, all the code is written in assembler. The software carry_out multi-channel applications. The software implemented has the VAD/DTX/CNG structure.
Ideal Performance: 16 MIPS for the coder (both rates) 1.4 MIPS for the decoder (both rates)
Algorithm Verification: ITU-T test vectors
