Overview: ITU-T G.729 telephony band coder. This coder is a CS-ACELP (Conjugate Structure Algebraic CELP) 8 kbit/s with a quality equivalent to G.726 (ADPCM) for clean speech and lower quality for noisy speech and musical signal. For an optimized solution, all the code is written in assembler. The software implemented carry out multi-channel applications. There are several softwares for the different annexes of the standardized G.729. Indeed, G.729, G.729.A (less complexity) and G.729.B (with VAD/DTX/CNG structure) are implemeted.
