Overview:	MUSICompress(TM): Low-MIPS, lossless and high-quality fixed-rate audio and speech compression. If your application stores or transmits digital audio/speech, MUSICompress provides a lossless compression solution to reduce your storage and/or transmission costs. For about 40 instructions per sample on the average, MUSICompress provides lossless compression of audio and/or speech signals. After decompression, a bit-for-bit identical version of your original signal is restored. A low-MIPS, high-quality fixed-rate version of MUSICompress supporting compression ratios of up to 4:1 is also available. U. S. and international patents pending.
Ideal Performance:	MUSICompress usually provides between 2:1 and 3:1 lossless compression of audio and speech signals. Some signals compress as well as 10:1 (lossless).
Algorithm Verification:	Test vectors are provided with the MUSICompress SW development kit, to verify correct integration.
Availability:	MUSICompress is available now in both optimized assembly (16-bit integer DSP's) and ANSI C source (floating-point DSP's).
Operating System Used:	None (but easily SPOX compatible).
