Question: Token Forcer - some ports are always inputs and some are always outputs, high noise environment. how can he use the token forcer if ports are in the wrong state? or does he need to use the forcer?

Answer: Token forcer does not need to be used if state of comm. port does not change after system reset. A simple pull-up will work on CREQ or CACK depending on whether port is an input or output
