Question: They're having a problem with the emulator. One of the programs that came with it is a diagnostic program. When he runs that he gets a MSG saying the board is okay but the target CPU (a DSK) is of a 1.X version and the software will only work with 2.X or greater? What would we recommend for this situation?

Answer: Emulator debugger version 7.40 will not work with revision 1.x of C5x silicon, as reported by the xds_diag program. Newer C50 DSKs with rev 2 silicon will work with version 7.4 of the XDS510 debugger.
