Question: I am trying to install the TMS320C8x Emulator card with NT 3.51, and I get the following error message in the event viewer: ( The GenPort service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find message for message number 0x%1 in message file for %2.) I have tried both the automated configuration and the manual one where I modify the system parameters using Registry Editor. I changed the Base address to 280 and still no results. I am using the emulator with Precision Digital Images' Precision MX Video Engine.

Answer: If you're using NT 3.51, then you need to install new genport.sys, the one on the CD is for NT 3.50. There should be a floppy disk of this new drive that was shipped with the C8x emulator SW 1.13.
