Question: The .OUT file, which is generated V1.2 C54x C Compiler, can't be read by V2.10 C54x software simulator, but okay in V2.25 C54x software simulator. On the other hand, if .OUT file is generated by V1.16 C54x C compiler, it can be loaded in V2.10 C54x software simulator.

Answer: Version 1.16 of the compiler generated COFF1 format, while version 1.20 generates COFF2 format.
