Question: Can I use the DOS version of XDS510 to debug one C40 on the PPDS

Answer: No, the OS/2 version or the SUN version of the XDS510 is required for debugging the C40 on the PPDS because there are other devices in the daisy chain of the JTAG emulation circuit.

In order to debug one single C4x, one will have to modify his board to bypass the other processors and the 12 octals that are also part of the PPDS scan chain. Bypassing of the C4x's can be achieved by using the jumpers: JP1,JP2,JP3,JP4. Bypassing the octals will require board wiring.
