Question : Why does the results of current instruction in the emulator not show up until the next two instructions?

Answer : Contrary to the C54x simulator and other TI emulators, the instruction highlighted in the C54x emulator disassembly window has just completed its decode stage. Therefore, two more cycles are necessary to reach the execute stage.
