TI's new 16-bit analog interface circuit (AIC) reduces system costs of V.34 and V.FAST class fax/modems, while achieving 28,800 bps line data rate.
The TLC320AD55C also provides a useful analog front end for business audio and voice-over data applications such as personal digital assistants (PDAs), computer-related speech processing and teleconferencing.
The 'AD55 offers glueless interface to the TMS320C5x and 'C2x family of DSPs, which reduces system part count and board space required.
The device uses 64X oversampling sigma-delta technology for analog-to-digital (ADC) and digital-to-analog conversion (DAC) to produce a cost-effective, high resolution, low-noise system.

TI has introduced a new three-channel, eight-bit analog-to-digital
converter that includes a high-precision digital clamp circuit.
The digital clamp circuit will automatically clamp each of the
YUV input components to CCIR 601 coding standards.
The TLC5733 converts high-speed signals such as YUV video or the
output of color CCDs in parallel for high throughput. The sampling
rates are specified up to 20 MSPS minimum. The device also is
configurable for NTSC or Pal standards.
