Puzzled about starting to design with DSPs?

Designers can evaluate TI's 32-bit floating point family of processors at a very low cost with the introduction of the TMS320C3x DSK, TI's newest low-cost, easy-to-use development tool.

The tool also brings broad development support. More than 15 third-parties have expressed interest in developing modules for the 'C3x DSK.

The 'C2x and 'C5x DSP starter kits introduced a new node into the spectrum of available tools support for DSP technology. At $99 retail, the products have been extremely popular throughout the industry. These products have shown that low-cost tools help designers overcome the cost barrier for casual evaluation.

Features

The 'C3x starter kit is an expandable development platform that allows designers to experiment and develop real-time signal processing applications with the 'C3x DSP. The DSK has a TMS320C31 on board to allow full-speed verification of TMS320C3x code. The DSK also allows the freedom to develop software on a PC and run it on the DSK board. Moreover, the DSK allows designers to expand their system by building daughterboards. The DSK interfaces to a host PC through the parallel printer port.

The 'C3x DSK, as well as the other DSKs from TI, are available through authorized TI distributors for $99.
