IEEE recognizes TI's excellence in DSPs

The Texas Instruments Digital Signal Processing Group is the recipient of the 1996 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Corporate Innovation Recognition award.

The award cites TI's "technical excellence in the design and application of digital signal processors."

IEEE will present the annual award June 22 in Montreal, Canada.

The award recognizes outstanding contributions achieved through innovative products, systems or concepts resulting in a major advancement of the arts and sciences of electrotechnology.

Previous winners of this award include Intel, Sony, IBM, AT&T Bell Labs, Hewlett Packard, Apple, Ericsson Radio Systems, Philips, Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Bellcore.
