High-speed MOSFET drivers designed for switching

TI is offering its first series in a full product line of MOSFET drivers. The family of low cost, dual channel, high-speed MOSFET drivers is well suited for power supply and other high-speed switching applications such as motor drivers and automotive applications.

Designated the TPS281x family, the drivers are used in switching power supplies to achieve a small, light weight and efficient power supply solutions. The family also incorporates a wide range of logic functions in the drive logic to give engineers more flexibility when designing systems.

TPS281x features Benefits
20 ns maximum rise/fall time with 30 ns maximum prop. delay Provides maximum efficiency for high-frequency operation
2A peak output current Devices can drive FETs up to approximately 60W and still maintain good efficiency
5 ľA supply current Allows for better system efficiency/performance
Low costDevices can replace existing discrete designs and at a lower cost than current competitive products
On-board linear regulator Allows extended supply voltage operation to 40-V for higher voltage systems

The TPS281x family is now available through Texas Instruments and its authorized distributors.

TPS281x 8-pin PDIP$0.60

SOP $0.60

TSSOP $0.60
Suggested retail pricing in U.S. dollars in 1K quantity.
