TLC320AD75C ADA Converter EVM

The TLC320AD75C is a 20-bit, sigma-delta stereo analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog (ADA) converter designed for digital audio applications such as: digital radio, musical instruments, PC audio, and other high-resolution industrial applications.

The 'AD75C EVM allows the user to determine the device's capabilities with minimal cost and effort. The EVM can be connected to an Audio Precision System 1 or Audio Precision System 2 through the optical Sony Philips Digital Interface (SPDIF) input and output ports. The EVM also provides access to the 'AD75C serial port.

Other benefits of the EVM include:

  • Demonstrated analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) performance of total harmonic distortion + noise (THD+N) of 0.0017 percent and signal-to-noise ration (SNR) of 100 dB.
  • Demonstrated digital-to-analog conversion (DAC) performance of THD+N of 0.0013 percent and SNR of 104 dB.
  • "Open" board power system to allow evaluation of power supply and grounding strategy
  • On-board jumpers to allow the board to be "tailored" to the digital interface to emulate the desired application.
