TLC320AD55 AIC EVM interfaces directly to DSKDSP system designers can now save valuable time in evaluating the performance of the TLC320AD55
analog interface circuit (AIC) by interfacing the new AD55-EVM
evaluation board directly to the DSP starter kit (DSK). The AD55-EVM
includes all the necessary circuitry to demonstrate the excellent
performance and features of the TLC320AD55.
An accompanying application report describes the evaluation board, how to interface it to the DSK, and includes useful information on how to optimize the operation of the TLC320AD55 in user's end-systems. The report also includes example software listings for the DSK starter kit which exercise the operation of the AD55-EVM. The TLC320AD55 AIC features include a 16-bit resolution sigma-delta ADC and DAC, serial input and output ports for direct interface to DSPs, programmable analog output gain (0 dB, -6dB, -12 dB and squelch) and main and auxiliary analog input channels. The ADC and DAC offer signal to noise + distortion ratios in excess of 80 dB and 72 dB respectively. Applications of the TLC320AD55 include V.34 modems, noise cancellation, voice channels for video telephony and audio test equipment. Although designed specifically to interface to the DSK, the AD55-EVM evaluation board can be easily interfaced to a wide range of DSPs. To purchase the TLC320AD55 EVM:
