The
TLC7705, a new micropower (20 Micro-amps) supply voltage supervisor
from Texas Instruments, protects microprocessors from power supply
deviations in battery-operated, 5-volt systems, such as portable
computers and handheld instrumentation. Consuming 100 times less
power, the TLC7705 is a low power alternative to the industry
standard TL7705. Once the supply voltage is within regulation,
the TLC7705 provides the microprocessor with a delayed reset pulse.
In addition, outputs are defined with a supply voltage of 1.0
volts. The TLC7705 is now available in an eight-pin surface mount
package from TI and its authorized distributors with suggested
resale pricing in quantities of 1,000 starting at $1.04.
