DALLAS (Aug. 7, 1995) -- Texas Instruments India Limited (TI India), has announced the establishment of a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Design Center in Bangalore. TI India's design center will support TI's continued DSP leadership, with more than 40 percent share of the DSP market, by contributing to the development of future low-power DSPs. The design center will open in early 1996, with first designs planned for production release before the end of 1996.
TI has operated in India for 10 years, and the new design center will continue TI's commitment to this growing region. Recruitment efforts are currently underway for experienced engineers in the industry in the electrical engineering and/or computer science fields. Further experience and specialization in the areas of DSP architectures, VLSI design in the DSP, memory and mixed-signal areas, VLSI CAD Systems, real-time embedded applications for image processing and test, design flows and libraries for ASICs will be key qualification for selection.
Since its inception, TI India has grown significantly and is currently developing products in several TI business segments including application specific products, memory and mixed-signal products, design automation (CAD) software, digital imaging applications and business software.
