New Family of Wide Input Range Rail-to-Rail Output Operational Amplifiers Expands Texas Instruments Line of Single-Supply Op Amp SolutionsDALLAS (Jan. 27, 1997) - Further enhancing its line of single-supply operational amplifier solutions, Texas Instruments (TI) announces a new family of wide input range, rail-to-rail output operational amplifiers. The rail-to-rail output performance makes these devices perfect for interfacing with analog-to-digital (ADC) converters, and are ideal in applications such as cellular phones, notebook computers, modems and PCMCIA cards.
These new devices, designated the TLV2432 and the TLV2442 display
up to three times less noise voltage than current market amplifiers.
This family offers designers two speeds versus power options.
The TLV2432 has low supply current for minimal battery consumption.
The TLV2442 offers better AC performance for higher-speed applications.
The input common mode range has been extended over typical standard
CMOS amplifiers, making the TLV2432 and the TLV2442 available
for a broader variety of applications. Their high input impedance
and low noise make these devices appropriate for small-signal
conditioning for high-impedance sources such as piezoelectric
sensors. The TLV2432 and the TLV2442 can also drive 600 loads
for telecom applications.
End Equipment Applications
Pricing, Packaging and Availability
The TLV2432 and the TLV2442 are now available from TI and its
authorized distributors. The devices are available in a small-outline
integrated circuit (SOIC) or a thin shrink small-outline package
(TSSOP). The TLV2432 and the TLV2442 are priced from $0.80 to
$0.93 in quantities of 1,000.
