Search Tips Our powerful, full-text search features allow you to search with great accuracy. The simplest kind of search is to enter a list of relevant words separated by commas. You can also use operators to focus your search. Simple search:
This search finds all the documents that contain the words "semiconductor", "chip" or "DSP". Some documents returned may contain more than one of your search words. Search using a phrase
This will find all of the documents with the phrase "graphing calculator." You can use a phrase just about anywhere you would use a single keyword.
This search will find all of the documents that contain either the phrase "graphing calculator" or the word "semiconductor." Using operators: Operators such as AND, OR or NOT can be used. For example:
This search finds all the documents that contain both the word "design" and the word "engineer".
This search finds all the documents that have either the word "DSP" or the word "memory" or both.
The search finds all the documents with the word "DSP" but excludes those that contain the word "wireless." Wild-card search:

This will give you a list of documents containing words what start with Intern -- i.e., Internal, Internet, International. Using modifiers: To further narrow your search, you can use various modifiers. Some of the most common modifiers are <NEAR> and <CASE>. For example:
This search finds all documents which have the word "calculator" within three or fewer words of "programs".
This search finds all documents which have the word "TImeline" near the word "technology".
This search finds the documents that have the words "Personal" and "Organizers", but will not find documents with the words "personal" and "organizers". Using quote marks as modifiers:
This search finds documents with the word "and." The term "and" must be enclosed in quotes to be searched for to differentiate it from the operator AND. The same is true when searching for the terms "or" and "not". |
