Mainly Neat Stuff --> Apple Marketing Materials --> Add to your Apple
Add to your Apple is a catalogue of official products marketed by Apple UK and assorted products from third party vendors. In spite of Apple's reputation for its "not invented here" attitude, non-Apple networking products are given a generous plug on page 14. Interestingly the date on the cover is "Effective May 1984" but contains no mention of the then new Macintosh and only fleeting mention of the Lisa. Presumably the Mac was still under wraps when the catalogue was being prepared and the Lisa was of little interest to many smaller Apple dealers and their customers. The Apple III has prominence in two of the cover photos even though UK sales were pretty dead by then. Note: These images are quite large (approx 800 * 1200 pixels, between 130 and 200KB) to retain legibility of the accompanying text. If your computer or internet connection is slow, you are advised to download the images to view them. |

Mainly blurb about how many products are available for the Apple II and III computer families. Interestingly, "there are over 350 Apple dealers throughout Great Britain". In 2007, I doubt whether there are more than 50 Apple dealers of any size. |
