Micron Completes Acquisition of TI's Memory Business
On June 18, 1998, TI announced the sale of its memory business to Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho. That transaction was successfully completed on September 30, 1998. Included in the sale were TI's wholly owned fabs in Avezzano, Italy, and Richardson, Texas, its joint venture interests in Japan and Singapore, and an assembly and test operation in Singapore.
